Saline Twirlettes invited to perform at EMU home opener~ August 28, 2008
The Saline Twirlettes performed at the home opener of the Eastern Michigan Football season. Stacey, Haley, Conner, Sarah, Chrissy, Maddy, Dana and Amber performed at the pre-game tailgate as well as time outs during the game. This was a special night as they watched teammate Bethany Lawson in her debut with the EMU Marching band. Bethany is the 1st twirler at EMU after the absence of twirlers for several years. The new EMU band director and Director of bands reinstated the twirling position in the summer of 2008 with the encouragement of fomer EMU twirler, Susan Usher.
